Sport &
Performance Psychology

Whether or not you are an athlete, all areas of your life are interconnected and contribute to your well-being. Non-athletes face the same problems in their lives as athletes: lack of motivation to achieve a goal, an inability to perform under stress, or not being able to get past a mental obstacle preventing them from moving forward in life (like feeling stuck in a relationship or job).

Performance psychology is the science behind how our brains contribute to our successes and failures. Learning and practicing different techniques, along with collecting biofeedback data, can be extremely beneficial during treatment. Identifying and applying psychological principles can help with goal setting and establishing the requisite mindset for peak performance.

These skills are especially useful for professionals who often face high-pressure situations, like law enforcement officers, firefighters, doctors, nurses, student-athletes, blue-collar workers, military personnel, performing artists, attorneys, and others.

Student-Athlete Needs

Through education, awareness, and normalizing the conversation around mental health, my goal is to help remove the stigma associated with “getting help” and promote the importance of self-care. We need to start prioritizing our student-athletes’ mental health development the same way we focus on the importance of their physical health development. Imagine if a "Bigger, Faster, Stronger" mindset was applied to your patience, emotional intelligence, and positive outlook on life. A mental health "practice session" can help build those skills, similar to the benefits of a physical workout.
